ANDREAS BEHRMANN

Andreas Behrmann is President of COMLINE Computer + Softwareloesungen AG, Germany. He founded the company in 1990 starting with the marketing of HPPC and HP UNIX products and client/server components. At present, the company employs 200 people and is the biggest German partner organisation of Hewlett-Packard in the area of system integration. Behrmann started his professional career as Sales Representative for Technical Computing at Hewlett-Packard responsible for Channel Partners. In 1984 he joined Tektronix and became Sales Director for Northern Germany. Today he is focused in the Sales Operation at COMLINE and is responsible for strategic markets.

Behrmann graduated in 1979 from University Hamburg with a degree in electrical engineering.


KEITH MELBOURNE

Keith Melbourne is Worldwide Director of Marketing Services for Hewlett-Packard’s Enterprise Computing Solutions Organization (ECSO). ECSO is responsible for providing enterprise customers integrated solutions that encompass hardware, software and service & support from both HP and its partners. His organisation is responsible for the outbound marketing and business development of ECSO’s most strategic programme, the Services Utility program. The mission of this programme is to help ECSO’s customers move their businesses into the rapidly emerging global service based economy by deploying their business model in a service oriented networked world.

He is also responsible for all of ECSO’s Marketing Services and manages teams in North and Latin American Field operations as well as in Europe, Asia and Japan. Melbourne joined HP in 1983, working as Performance and Networking Systems Engineer in the UK Field operations. In 1987 he was named Channel Development Manager for the UK’s Western Sales Area and was instrumental in building HP’s Channel of distribution for HP9000 Unix Systems in the UK.

In 1990 Melbourne became the factory based Business Development Manager for the UK based out of the Computer Systems Organizations Marketing Center in Boeblingen Germany. Before taking up his assignment in the U.S. he held roles as European Sales and Marketing Manager for the Industrial Workstation and Real-Time Systems Division and as European Marketing Communications. Born in the U.K. he studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Aston before training as a software engineer and systems analyst.


THOMAS GESSNER
MARKETING DIRECTOR

Thomas Gessner is responsible for Marketing and partner relations at BroadVision Germany in Munich.  Before joining BroadVision he worked as self-employed consultant and in various product marketing and business development position for American software companies.


KAI GÖTTMANN

After his apprenticeship as Industrial Manager, Göttmann studied Business Administration, focusing on marketing and production at Johannes Gutenberg-Universität, Mainz. Göttmann started in 1996 within ORACLE Deutschland GmbH as Trainee and worked in Sales for Internet and E-Commerce. He became Production Manager in November 1998, responsible for E-Commerce at ORACLE Deutschland GmbH.


GUIDO JOURET
IT MANAGER EMEA
CISCO SYSTEMS

Based in Paris, Guido Jouret is responsible for information systems for Cisco’s 53 sites in EMEA (Europe, Middle-East and Africa), heading up a team of 120 IT specialists, with budget responsibility of US$ 32 million. His team is responsible for delivering all IT infrastructure and applications for Cisco in EMEA. Specific areas of responsibility include: Networking & Telecoms, Help Desk, Desktop, Operations, and applications areas (Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR).

Guido is in charge of defining Cisco EMEA’s IT strategy, communication to VPs and directors on the status of IT initiatives, and coordinating the activities of a distributed multinational team. Global application implementations have included Oracle Financials, PeopleSoft, and Siebel.

Prior to joining Cisco, Guido was responsible for IT in the R&D division of Beaufour-Ipsen Pharmaceutical Group. Before that, Guido worked as software co-ordinator at the London Parallel Applications Centre, where he developed software strategy. He commenced his career as a research associate at the Imperial College for Science, Technology and Medicine, London.

Guido has a B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (MA, USA) and a DIC and PhD in Computing from Imperial College (UK).


MICHAEL KLEMEN
CORPORATE DIRECTOR OF SALES MARKETING EUROPE
SAP AG

Michael Klemen is currently Corporate Director of Sales Marketing Europe at SAP AG. In this function the focus is on covering the corporate-wide positioning and messaging for core business processes as well as enabling the sales and marketing communication. Previously, Michael Klemen was responsible for partner and alliance management at SAP´s Austrian subsidiary, where he focused on all of SAP’s technology and hardware partners. In 1980, he was responsible at one of the earliest Austrian customers for implementing SAP solutions on various sites nationwide and also internationally. After holding senior consulting positions supporting and implementing SAP systems in various industries, he joined a leading hardware supplier to lead his SAP-activities in Austria and parts of Eastern Europe to establish SAP solutions successfully in leading worldclass enterprises. Michael Klemen studied at University of Vienna and attended the MISR Program at the Harvard Business School.


CJ GLYNN
DIRECTOR OF CORPORATE MARKETING
ARIBA TECHNOLOGIES, INC.

CJ Glynn is Director of Corporate Marketing at Ariba Technologies, Inc. Mr. Glynn directs all corporate marketing activities, including both defining and communicating the company and product message. His responsibilities include development and implementation of outbound marketing programs as well as creating tools for Ariba's enterprise sales force.

Mr. Glynn brings over 12 years of consulting, sales, marketing, and technical experience to Ariba. Prior to joining Ariba, Mr. Glynn was Director of Field Applications Engineering for BroadVision, a supply-side e-commerce software vendor where he built a nationwide technical sales force. He was also Strategic Account Manager for Sybase's New Media Division where he managed strategic telecommunications accounts throughout Asia and the United States. Mr. Glynn has also held various management and technical positions at Oracle Corporation. Mr. Glynn has an MBA in Operations Management, a Master of Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Operations Research from Cornell University.


KLAUS MÄRZ

Klaus März joined Oracle as Director of Applications D-A-CH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) and Manager for Business Solutions in January 1998. He is a member of the German Management Team and reports directly to Wolfgang Jaeger, Managing Director of ORACLE Deutschland GmbH.

Klaus März started his career in 1978 as a Sales Representative with IBM Deutschland. Prior to Oracle, he was the Managing Director of CGI Interprogram GmbH where he was responsible for optimizing the CGI business within the IBM group divisions in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Klaus März received a degree in computer sciences from Aachen University (Germany) where he also completed studies in management sciences/operation research.


MALTE RADEMACHER

Malte Rademacher is Marketing Manager of EMC Computer-Systems Deutschland GmbH. Within the framework of this function, he is responsible for all activities in the individual marketing areas and for the development and implementation of EMC Germany’s marketing strategy. In addition, Malte Rademacher is Press Officer of EMC Computer-Systems Deutschland GmbH.

Malte Rademacher has more than 20 years practical and management experience and held corresponding positions with renowned hardware and software vendors and service providers. His areas of specialisation include data centre, systems and network management as well as IT operations management.

Prior to joining EMC in 1994, Malte Rademacher was Marketing Manager of the German subsidiary of Digital Equipment in Munich and responsible for sales supporting IT operations.


PAUL A. TATRO

Mr. Tatro is the Executive Vice President of International Operations and one of the five Corporate Officers at PLATINUM technology, inc. For the past fourteen years, he has been a frequent speaker at various user groups around the world. He joined PLATINUM in 1987 as Director of Education where he authored several of the PLATINUM Education courses. Mr. Tatro has been in his current role since 1990 and his global responsibilities have given him the unique opportunity to present for and interact with customers worldwide. Mr. Tatro has written articles for various technical magazines and publications. Prior to joining PLATINUM, Mr. Tatro held various positions for Compuware and the DOW Chemical companies.


CHARLES R. RICH
DIRECTOR OF STRATEGY PLANNING
INTERWORLD

Charles R. Rich joined InterWorld in December, 1996 and serves as Director of Strategy & Planning. In this position, Mr. Rich is responsible for competitive intelligence, strategy and research.

Mr. Rich has spent more than 15 years in the computer business working at large technology companies, such as Motorola, Stratus Computer, Computer Associates and Tivoli Systems. He has a BA from SUNY at StonyBrook in Liberal Arts/Music and has studied Computer Science at New York University. Publications include: "Software Delivery" in Advisor Magazine, 7/97.


JAMES WALLER
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
MORSEDATA

James Waller is a member of the executive management team of Morse Group, one of Europe’s leading technology integrators.

James is the Executive Director of MorseData, the specialist Hewlett-Packard division of Morse Group. He joined Morse in 1996 and has developed MorseData into HP’s largest Corporate Reseller in the world, a business with 100 employees and sales of £95 million. James established MorseData’s sales office in Germany in 1998 and is currently overseeing plans for further European expansion.

James has been in the IT industry for 13 years. Before joining Morse, he held director-level positions at International Software, Borland International and Synergy Group.


TRAVIS WHITE

Travis White is Vice President Marketing, EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) at J.D. Edwards®. Prior to his current position, White was the vice president of corporate communications.

Prior to joining J.D. Edwards, White held a variety of positions focused on marketing high technology solutions. Positions included Vice President of the technology group at McClain Finlon Advertising, Vice President of marketing at Solbourne Computer and Senior Manager of Product Marketing at NBI Inc.

White has extensive academic experience as well. He is currently an adjunct Professor at the University of Denver where he teaches courses on the marketing of technology and the technology of marketing. Prior to entering the computing industry, White held positions at the University of Denver, Catholic University (Quito, Ecuador), the University of Guanajuato (Mexico), University of Antioquia (Medellin, Colombia) and the Institute for Advanced Technology (Valencia, Venezuela). White taught courses in the areas of statistics, research methods, information retrieval and database design.

White holds a masters and doctorate in information science from the University of Denver as well as a bachelor’s degree in international studies from the University of Delaware.
