LONDON, 18 Dec. 1998 - Five of the world's largest information technology companies
have joined forces in announcing a major conference in Germany to discuss their vision,
business strategies and 'best practices' for implementing an IT architecture for mission
critical computing in the next millennium.
Cisco Systems, Hewlett-Packard, EMC, Oracle and SAP - who jointly represent a $100 billion
mission critical 'ecosystem' - will hold the conference entitled Mission Critical
Computing: "Harnessing the Power of Global Information" on 11-12 Feb. '99 at the

forces in announcing a major conference in London to discuss their vision, business
strategies and 'best practices' for implementing an IT architecture for mission critical
computing during the next millennium.
